Battery Leakage: gas generation in batteries, leakage path, leakage rates. Ruptures: Mechanical stress and pressure tolerance of cells, safety vents, Explosions: Causes of battery explosions, explosive process, Thermal Runway: High discharge rates, Short circuits, charging and discharging. Environment and Human Health impact assessments of batteries, General recycling issues and drivers, methods of recycling of EV batteries.
