Q.) What is Voltage Regulator.

Subject: electronic devices and circuit

Voltage Regulator

A voltage regulator is an electrical device that converts an input voltage to a constant output voltage. They are used in a wide variety of electronic devices, including computers, televisions, and cell phones. Voltage regulators are also used in power supplies to provide a stable voltage to the electronic devices that they power.

Types of Voltage Regulators

There are two main types of voltage regulators:

  • Linear voltage regulators (LVRs): LVRs use a feedback loop to compare the output voltage to a reference voltage. If the output voltage is lower than the reference voltage, the LVR increases the output voltage. If the output voltage is higher than the reference voltage, the LVR decreases the output voltage. LVRs are simple and inexpensive, but they are not very efficient.
  • Switching voltage regulators (SVRs): SV
